In June, one of my best friends and I went to Japan together. Nicky and I primarily stayed in Tokyo Province, going to Chofu to visit his family early on in the trip. A lot of people, including myself, think of Tokyo as a city, but it's actually a whole province containing smaller cities (including the city of Tokyo, which is mostly government buildings.
We stayed in an adorable baby pink hotel in Shinjuku, only about a 10 minute walk from Shinjuku Station. While we were only there for a week, it definitely felt like at least two because we did so much and covered to much ground. We walked roughly 8 miles and were out-and-about for 8—10 hours each day. Shout out to the Yamanote line for being our BFF during the trip, and to Nicky's family for surprising us with PASSMOs so we could go wherever the subway or buses would take us. Japan was absolutely beautiful and I can't wait to go back, hopefully in the springtime to catch the cherry blossoms in bloom.
These are only some of the photos I took, maybe I'll post more later, but for now here are some of my favorites.
Thank you for stopping by, let me know with a comment below which is your favorite photo! And if you haven't already, check out the video I made from footage I took while in Japan in the last blog post.
